Independent content platform Turkey MCD Inc. (Multi Channel Developers) was founded in 1998 to distribute foreign thematic channels in Turkey.
Has become the licensor of elite brands and has begun broadcasting local versions in Turkey in a short period of time. Then created its own brands in Turkey.
Since the day it was founded, MCD has found the right outlets on Turkish TV platforms for niche channels such as National Geographic, Eurosport, Eurosport 2, RTL, SAT-1, n-tv, Euronews, Travel Channel, Performance and Hallmark. In 2005, the business took a whole new direction as MCD signed licensing agreements with Viacom first for Nickelodeon then for MTV.
As the exclusive Licensor of these channels, MCD carried out their distribution, management, marketing, communications and advertisement. Viacom International Media Networks and Multi Channel Developers (MCD), a Turkish television distribution company, have reached an amicable agreement to settle all of the legal proceedings between them in England and Turkey relating to the Nickelodeon and MTV Turkey television channels and to part company during August 2011. The details of the settlement are confidential.
MCD also has the Turkish production rights of Eurosport and Eurosport 2 since December 2005.MCD has launched Kidz-Animez channels in February 2011.
MCD is an affiliate company of Medyavizyon Ltd., a film distribution and production company. Founded in 1991, Medyavizyon is active in the production and distribution of TV and cinema movies and DVD, VCD and CD sales. Medyavizyon also owns one of the largest film libraries in the country. Then later on began broadcasting many channels like; Sci-Tech Türkiye, SinemaTV Aile HD, SinemaTV Aşk HD, SinemaTV Aksiyon HD, SinemaTV 1001 HD, BBC Entertainment, BBC HD, BBC World, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Cbeebies, BBC Knowledge, Euronews, Eurosport, Eurosport2, Eurosport HD in Turkey
